Visas

All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements; and permanent residents of Norfolk Island who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival).

All participants are required to apply for a business visa which will cover entry into Australia for the conference. The passport which you hold determines whether you can apply online, or if you need to lodge a paper-based application. General information on visas can be found here.

Visitors are requested to apply for their visa well in advance of their intended date of travel to Australia. It is recommended that you apply at least 8 weeks prior for paper based applications and at least 2 weeks prior for electronic applications.
