Description: Courageous cruise 051 was undertaken to survey the demersal and pelagic fish community of the Australian continental shelf/Timor Sea/Arafura Sea between Cape Londonderry and Darwin, using pelagic and demersal trawling, and also to conduct hydrological transects and XBT shots across the shelf. The voyage took place between Darwin-Timor Sea-Darwin, from 22 June to 8 July 1979.
