Taxon Notes: | Endemic to Australia, north-east coast of Queensland (Round Hill, south-east of Gladstone to Daintree region, including near-shore islands). Shallow-water estuarine, found in mangrove creeks and muddy tide-pools, at depths of 0–1 m. Also found in marginal habitats such as by boat ramps and overgrown drains. Co-occurs with P. aquilonius, P. eos (minor overlap) and P. melanosticta (Larson & Hammer, 2021). |
