Taxon Notes:	AFD online accessed 19 July 2017 "The genus is in need of revision and the name used here is tentative. It is the oldest available name for a species in the genus and the name was used by Allen & Smith-Vaniz (1994) for Cocos (Keeling) Islands. It is possible that it is Palutrus scapulopunctatus". Some records of Palutrus pruinosus from Australia were based on an undescribed species.
