Expected species depth range is from 15 to 50 m.
Taxon Notes:Known in Australia from the GBR (Qld) and off-shore reefs of WA. It is found in 8-55m depth, but usually below 20m. In eastern Australia it is known only from reefs on the outer edge of the GBR (Winterbottom & Hoese, 2015).
