Expected species depth range is from 3 to 35 m.
Taxon Notes:Trimma okinawae is found in Australia from WA, islands of the Timor & Coral Seas, and rarely on the outer GBR, Qld. On the GBR it is normally found on reefs at the outer edge of the reef on the windward slopes below 20m or in channels leading to the Coral Sea. The species is known from depths of 2–35m (Winterbottom & Hoese, 2015).
