Taxon Notes:

Some Australian specimens originally identified as E. nigriventris are now known to be Eviota dorsogilva (37 428438), but little Australian material was examined and E. nigriventris may still occur in Australia (e.g. Eviota nigriventris is known from Indonesia, not far from Ashmore Reef in the Timor Sea and from the Chesterfield Islands in the Coral Sea).
