Scientific Name Notes:	This species is currently known from a single specimen from the Timor Sea. The southern Indonesian specimen figured in Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola (1984) as P. somaliensis was described as a new species (P. compressa) by Randall (2008). Parapercis somaliensis Schultz, 1968 is restricted to the NW Indian Ocean and Red Sea.
