Taxon Notes:Victor (2017) divided Pseudojuloides cerasinus into 4 species - the true P. cerasinus is restricted to the Hawaiian Islands and the name applied to the Australian species is now P. splendens, which is known in Australia from the northern GBR (c. 10 34 S), Qld to southern NSW (c. 36 15 S).
