Taxon Notes: | Updated from Chromis agilis after Allen & Erdmann 2020 noted that C. agilis was restricted to the Western & Central Indian Ocean. Chromis pacifica is widely distributed in the western and central Pacific, typically found on outer reef slopes at depths of about 5–56 m (Allen & Erdmann 2020). Australian distribution is Outer Great Barrier Reef, east of Dunk Island (17°56'S, 146°43'E), Osprey Reef, Coral Sea (13°55'S), Euston Reef (16°41'S), Holmes Reef (16°27'S, 148°00'E) and Frederick Reefs (21°00'S, 154°26'E), Qld and Middleton and Elizabeth Reefs and Lord Howe Island, Tasman Sea (AFD online and Fishes of Australia 28.8.2020; Allen & Erdmann 2020). | ||||||||
