Taxon Notes:

Recorded by Sih et al 2017 from the outer shelf-break of the Great Barrier Reef, Qld ('Unnamed Reef', Myrmidon Reef and Viper Reef between about 17 30 S and 20 S) in 54-103m. Although CAAB code 37355040 had been 'quarantined' for this species before submission of the publication, that code in the interim was assigned to Upeneus spottocaudalis, so a new code (37355042) is erected here for Mulloidichthys pfluegeri.
