Taxon Notes:Fernendez-Silva et al 2016 described two subspecies of Mulloidichthys flavolineatus, namely Mulloidichthys flavolineatus flavolineatus from the Indo Pacific and Mulloidichthys flavolineatus flavicaudus from the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.
