Taxon Notes:The first Australian record of this species was taken at 211m depth off Scott Reef (north-western Australia, eastern Indian Ocean, see Newman 2009); additional specimens have been collected from southern WA (Wakefield et al 2016) in 200-500m and off Lord Howe Island in 450m.
