Taxon Notes: | This species is widespread in the southern hemisphere, occurring in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans (see Stevenson & Kenaley, 2011). In Australia, it is known from off southern NSW (c. 35 28 S) southwards to Tasmania and westwards to the Great Australian Bight (SA and WA) to c. 35 03 S, 115 00 E in midwater depths of c. 400-1500 m. | ||||
