Expected species depth range is from 143 to 306 m.

Taxon Notes:	Added based on records noted by Gill et al 2021 from west of Lihou Reefs, Coral Sea (17°41′S, 150°06′E) in 306 m. It is likely that Sih et al.’s (2017) record of Selenanthias sp. from the central Great Barrier Reef off Townsville (ca 18°S to 19°S in 143–179 m) is also referable to this species (Gill et al 2021).
