Taxon Notes:Previously referred to as Chlorophthalmus agassizi, but this species is restricted to the Mediterranean Sea & Atlantic Ocean (Gomon et al 2014). In Australian waters, C. pectoralis known from northern Western Australia, and off Queensland to southern New South Wales.
