Taxon Notes:Stolephorus andhraensis is confirmed only from the Eastern Indian Ocean from the Bay of Bengal (India) east to Java, Indonesia. Some Australian specimens identified as Stolephorus andhraensis refer to Stolephorus lotus (CAAB code 37 086027), but other species are also possible (Harutaka Hata pers. comm. June 2026). This species code has been made non-active to reflect that it no longer occurs in Australia.
