Expected species depth range is from 1 to 10 m.
Taxon Notes:Confirmed from Knight Reef, NW Vernon I (c. 12 01 S, 131 07 E) and Coral Bay, Cobourg Peninsula (c. 11 11 S, 132 03 E), NT based on specimens in NTM. Records from North West Island, Cape Leveque (WA), New Year I and Bremer Island (NT) and Ashmore Reef based on visual observations and require confirmation as the species is easily confused with A. curacao and A. batunai (Aust Faunal Directory, Atlas of Living Australia & Reef Life Survey websites, accessed 22.6.20). Allen & Erdmann (2012) noted depth range as 1-10m.
