Description: Courageous cruise 036 was undertaken to obtain juvenile jack mackerel for otolith studies, using midwater trawling, and also to conduct an XBT transect aproximaely 40 nm off the New South Wales coast en route to Sydney. The voyage took place between Portland and Sydney, from 6 to 12 September 1978.
