Description: Courageous cruise 020 was undertaken to acquire data relating to the target-strength of jack mackerel, to carry out biological studies of jack mackerel in Bass Strait and north east Tasmanian waters, to continue studies on the light fish Maurolicus muelleri, and to redeploy a Canadian satellite-tracked buoy. The voyage took place between Sydney-Bass Strait-Tasmanian waters-Sydney, from 10 to 28 May 1977.
