M. Dunning (CSIRO) Second in a series of 3 cruises examining the distribution of larval oceanic squid across the continental shelf and slope between Sydney and Brisbane. Plankton survey for larval squid, on 7 transects across the continental shelf between Sydney and Brisbane. CTD casts were also taken at trawl sites on 3 of the sections, and XBT sections along all 7 lines, along with continuous recording of surface fluorescence, temperature and salinity. Squid jigging was also undertaken at one site using hand reels an caught red ocean squid, Ommastrephes bartrami. Additional sampling was undertaken for planktonic foraminifera (for S.
