| Comments: | Something approximating a warm front passed (or we transited through as we moved south) with surface temperature rising several degrees between 12 and 14 UTC. Concurrently clouds deepened and rain began. Cloud radar showing embedded convective cells to 6 or 7 km. Weather radar agrees with widespread rain and cellular features to our northwest at present. NASA GEOS 5 model has cyclogenesis just to our south near -65 and 150. This surface low is deepening with closed circulation evolving. | ||
