| Comments: | We are in the cold sector of a deep and very large midlatitude cyclone. 3 hourly soundings in incredibly difficult conditions have been going for about 18 hours (Well done Isabel and Dan!). Presently overcast shallow convection under a marine inversion with tops near -10 C. Clouds appear to be penetrating the base of the marine inversion. Cloud instruments and weather radar running nominally this morning. |
