Comments: | Eventful day ends with overcast stratocumulus and slowly decreasing winds. Two overpasses by the NCAR GV. First on their way south at about 1315 local time at 20kft altitude. Conditions at this time were cloud free. Additionally, the RMAN lidar was down (found this out a bit later - see below). The rest of the instruments were operational. The 2nd overpass occured at 1656 local at an altitude of 5kft. Broken straocu with underlying cumulus were present during this time. See the quicklook graphc from the BASTA W-band and RMAN lidar centered on the time of the overpass All instruments operating as before. Continuing 3-hourly soundings through midnight. |
