GV Flight on January 16: Went to ~60S 148 E.  Chased clouds some but observed multiple layers of boundary layer clouds.  > 1000 /cc in free troposphere in accumuluation mode - new particle formation.  Observed few ice crystals at -9C with supercooled drizzle.
Plan:Target Investigator and south Friday - down and back overflights of ship.  Severe turbulence at Hobart until 10 AM.  Cold sector target with tops near -10C.  
Comments:
