Comments:

Hazy conditions continued through the day. Stratus was in and out as a cirrus layer passed over. Presently at 1900 local, a layer of midlevel clouds are above a thin layer of stratocumulus. The sratocumulus are invisible to the radar but attenuating the lidar fully most of the time. W-Band is just hinting at the mid level clouds. Picture shows the stratocumulus under the mid level overcast looking north at 1900 local.

Conducted series of microtops measurements at ~1645 UTC when the clouds temporarily parted.

All cloud instruments are working nominally.

Into a six hourly sonde launch schedule.
