| Found the Salinity <1m to be low (~30) at 13: | 30 drop. Re-tested with slower drop rate, resulted in significantly different reading (<0m) of ~35. |

| Comments: | Found the Salinity <1m to be low (~30) at 13:30 drop. Re-tested with slower drop rate, resulted in significantly different reading (<0m) of ~35. Re-adjusted method for time series drop to leave the RapidCastPro CTDF just below the water surface and change lower trigger to 0.5m (from 0.05m). Craig had to put bluetooth box on top as it was not connecting to unit at surface water depth. It seems ok now. Recommendations - take all data readings for (first 1m) with low confidence. 14:00 series onwards should be more reliable. |
