Taxon Notes:This species was made non-active in August 2020 after lack of evidence of its existence in Australian waters. CSIRO H 4594-03 (Qld) was identified as M. broussonnetii in 2011 but reidentified as Moolgarda perusii (Valenciennes 1836) by J Pogonoski, 14 July 2020. The basis for the original CAAB entry is not clear as no voucher specimen is listed.
