Taxon Notes:Added based on CSIRO & AMS specimens identified by Tatsuya Matsumoto from NE of Lady Elliott Island (22.18 S, 153.6 E), Qld and NE of Brunswick Heads (28 24 S, 153 50 E), NSW in 137-402 m depth. Elsewhere, widely distributed in the western Pacific Ocean, from Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and Wallis and Futuna Islands in 76-505 m depth (Matsumoto et al 2023). Recorded from PNG as Plectrogenium megalepis by Fricke 2015.
