Liocranium spp. |
Scientific Name Notes: | In a review of Liocranium, Motomura, Last & Johnson (2008) restored the name Liocranium pleurostigma. Prior to this publication, there was thought to be a single widespread species of Liocranium in northern Australia, namely Liocranium praepositum. All records of Liocranium praepositum from the east coast of Qld between about 18 deg S and 28 deg S are probably valid as Liocranium praepositum. All records of Liocranium praepositum from the Torres Strait (Qld) west to the Exmouth Gulf (WA) are probably valid as Liocranium pleurostigma. | ||||||
