Taxon Notes:Added based on Australian records from off Stanley (c. 40.8 S, 145.3 E - QVM specimen) and the Lord Howe Rise (33° 13' S, 162° 11' E - CSIRO specimen) noted in Martin & Hilton (2021). Also known from the Cascade Plateau off eastern Tasmania. Recorded from the Southeastern Atlantic: Namibia south to Cape of Good Hope (South Africa); Indian Ocean; southwestern Pacific: Australia & New Zealand (Catalog of Fishes; Martin & Hilton 2021). Likely to be more widespread in the Australian region. Recorded from bottom depths of 411-1133m (Martin & Hilton 2021).
