Taxon Notes:Kotlyar (2012) described this species from a specimen taken on the Madagascar Ridge (bottom trawl, 1500-1610m). Kotlyar (2014) subsequently recorded a juvenile specimen from a midwater trawl (c. 150m depth) off WA (20 53'S, 113 08'E).
