Expected species depth range is from 220 to 457 m.

Taxon Notes:	Updated from Malthopsis sp. Q1 [of P. Last] after species described by Ho & Last (2021) from specimens collected from east of Dunk Island (17°56´S, 146°58´E) south to Capricorn Channel, east of Rockhampton (22°52´S, 152°42´E), Qld in 220-300m. An additional specimen (QM I.18798) collected from 26 31 S, 153 48 E in 439-457m was identified by Hans Ho in Jan 2025 (this was previously a voucher specimen for Malthopsis sp Q2a [of P. Last]).
