Taxon Notes: | This taxon has been confused with Tandanus tandanus in the past. Known from 4 coastal rivers of mid-northern NSW; Bellinger, Macleay, Hastings, and Manning drainage basins. Based on altitude zones, T. bellingerensis is common to the coastal plain (3–30 m), lowland (31–200 m), and slopes (201–400 m), occurs occasionally in upland areas (401–700m), and is rare in highlands (701–1,100 m) [D. Gilligan, unpubl. data in Welsh et al 2017]. | ||
