Expected species depth range is from 50 to 1000 m.
Taxon Notes:Added based on CSIRO specimens collected from west of Exmouth Gulf (22 01.25 S, 113 40.56 E) to NW of Point Cloates (22 18.75 S, 113 12.77 E), WA over bottom depths of 704-1556 m. Harold et al 2015 (NZ fishes book) noted occurrence in mesopelagic depths of 300-1000m by day, to 50m at night.
