Scientific Name Notes:McCosker (2007: Smithiana Bulletin 7:3-7) reported that Ophisurus lumbricoides Bleeker 1853, Ophisurus rutidodermatoides Bleeker 1853, and Ophichthus derbyensis Whitley, 1941 are all considered to be junior synonyms of Ophichthus rutidoderma (Bleeker, 1853).
