Taxon Notes: | Leptochelia savignyi (= L. dubia) is an Atlantic/Mediterranean species that has been recorded from most parts of the world. It is now recognised as a species complex containing many species. Australian material was originally recorded as L. lifuensis, a New Caledonian species later synonymised with L. dubia, and whose current status is uncertain. All Indo-Pacific records of L. savignyi & L. dubia need to be re-examined to determine their true identity. | ||
