Taxon Notes:	The earlier name Pinctada anomioides (Reeve, 1857) has been put forward by Huber (2010: 602) as the valid name to be used for this species. However, we have retained the name Pinctada maxima for this commercially important species, following WoRMS. An application to the ICZN should be made to conserve this name. This code replaces previous (interim) CAAB code 00 658001 (FISHLIST 658001).
