Description: The WOCE Indian Ocean Current Meter Array 6 (ICM6) was designed to estimate the volume transport of the Leeuwin Current near 22 deg S. The array crossed depths from approximately 250m on the continental shelf to 3050m, and was operative between August 1994 and June 1996. The array was deployed during Franklin voyage FR 09/94 and recovered during during Franklin voyages FR 06/96 and FR 07/96. This is a collaborative project with the CSIRO Division of Oceanography (Chief Scientists M. Tomczak, FIAMS and J. Church / S. Wijffels, CSIRO). Four of the six moorings and part of a fifth mooring were recovered in June, 1996 as scheduled. The sixth mooring failed to respond but was later recovered by dredging in September, 1996.
