Description: As a precursor to the 1991 Heard Island underwater acoustics experiment, a mooring with current meters was deployed in a water depth of 1000m adjacent to Heard Island in the Southern Ocean for 1 month in May 1990 (HI1), then 7 months between June 1990 and January 1991 (HI2).
