FR 02/96 (alternative identifier: FR199602)    - is a Marine National Facility voyage

Period: 1996-02-21 00:00 to 1996-03-06 00:00 Local

Duration: 14.00 days

From: Fremantle To: Dampier

Region: East Indian Ocean

Ship: Franklin [details]

Description: Cruise FR 02/96 was undertaken to study the ecology and palaeoecology of marine micro-organisms; their use as indicators of changes in palaeoenvironmental conditions and interpret the late-Glacial and Holocene climatic history of the eastern Indian Ocean off Western Australia. Survey methods included ADCP, CTDs, gravity cores, vertical/surface plankton tows and underway instrumentation. Data, plankton, sediments and water samples were collected for on board and laboratory analyses.

Leader: P. De Deckker (ANU)

Project: National Facility External Users: P. De Deckker (ANU) [details]
