Title: Exploring the genomics of convergent snout elongations in deep-sea fishes
Id: 2598
Investigator(s):

Description: Fresh muscle samples from spikefishes (Triacanthodids) and sharks and rays (Chondrichthyes) will placed into a dry shipper for rapid freezing. These samples will be used for several genomic projects that the Australian National Fish Collection is working on with US colleagues (University of Oklahoma and Florida Museum of Natural History). Representative samples for these projects will be frozen rapidly with LN so that chromosomal and transcriptomic data can be obtained.
Years: 2021
