AU 1992/93 V9.1 WORSE

[details]
S. Rintoul (CSIRO) Australian Antarctic Division Voyage 9.1 1992-93 (WORSE) was carried out by the Aurora Australis. The voyage took place between April and May 1993. The major constituent of the cruise was oceanographic measurements relevant to the Australian Southern Ocean WOCE Hydrographic Program. Underway and CTD data were collected along the WOCE SR3 line. Observations were a continuation from Voyage 9 1992-93 (see separate voyage record). The principal scientific data from this cruise are held by the Australian Antarctic Division at Kingston, Tasmania.
A cruise report for this voyage is avaliable online at http://www.cms.udel.edu/woce/data/reports/pacific/p11_sr3_93_rintoul.sum. Station details, hydrology, and CTD data for this WOCE section are available on-line at http://whpo.ucsd.edu/data/onetime/pacific/p11/p11a/index.htm (The data are non public, i.e. encrypted, at this time).
AU 1992/93 V9 WOES

S. Rintoul (CSIRO) Australian Antarctic Division Voyage 9 1992-93 (WOES) was carried out by the Aurora Australis as cruise AU 09/93. The voyage took place between March and April 1993. The major constituent of the cruise was oceanographic measurements relevant to the Australian Southern Ocean WOCE Hydrographic Program. Underway and CTD data were collected along the WOCE SR3 line. Observations were continued as Voyage 9.1 1992-93 (see separate voyage record). The principal scientific data from this cruise are held by the Australian Antarctic Division at Kingston, Tasmania.

Southern Ocean (AUSSAF) Moorings (1991-93)

[details]
S. Rintoul (CSIRO) The Australian Sub-Antarctic Front (AUSSAF) array provided a 2-year time series of current velocity and temperature measurements in the Sub-Antarctic Front in the Southern Ocean, south of Australia, to provide measurements of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC). 4 current meter moorings ("west", "north", "central" and "south") were deployed in water depths between 3500 and 3900 m, also overlapping the WOCE SR3 line for repeat hydrology transects. The moorings were deployed in March 1993 and recovered in January 1995, with preliminary (test) deployments in October 1991 and March 1992.
