P. McIntosh (CSIRO) including other Pis | Cruise FR 05/96 was undertaken to collect data from the Perth Basin in the east Indian Ocean to construct an inverse model to study mixing processes and property fluxes in this region. Survey methods included ADCP, CTDs and underway instrumentation. A large amount of surface data on chlorophyll and phytoplankton was also collected to investigate horizontal changes in species composition across hydrographic fronts and to correlate continuous chlorophyll measurements with discrete samples of phytoplankton species composition. Data and water samples were collected for on board and laboratory analyses. |
