Gravity Measurements - [view map]
A Micro-G LaCoste Air-Sea System II marine gravity meter has been installed on the RV Investigator. It consists of a highly damped, spring-type gravity sensor that is mounted on a gyro stabilized platform with associated electronics for obtaining gravity readings. Data is sampled every second and will be routinely run on all voyages.
