| Comments: | Commenced testing of RapidCAST at 1200 (local). Initally taught the system where the COM, LAUNCH, RECOVERY and HOME positions were. Conducted several dives at a vessel speeds of 2 & 4 knots with dummy probe - successful launches and recoveries with boom fully extended Attchached SV probe and conducted further tests at 2 & 4 knots - successful dives but no data acquired. Bluetooth comms worked well into the sheltered science lab and via the USB DigiPort system (supplied by DAP).. Completed testing at 1400. Will investogate reason for no data acquisition and retest dueing voyage south to Hobart.. Winch requires supervision for deployments as can move to side and the line can become faouled in mechanism if unattended. |
