Contents | Top (m) | Base (m) |
---|---|---|
Blue-grey plagioclase-pyroxene andesite. ~20% plagioclase phenocrysts to 3 mm across and 5% dark green pyroxene phenocrysts to 2 mm across. Both appear to be altered. Weakly vesicular (5%). Discolored weathering rind 1 cm wide. A jointed block. | ||
Blue-grey vesicular (20% to 1 mm across) plagioclase (10%) andesite. Small weathered pebble, but with a fresh interior. | ||
Deeply weathered orange-brown subangular lava fragments in a yellow clay matrix. Breccia is clast-supported. Black MnOx crust to 2 mm thick. | ||
Grey non-vesicular plagioclase (5%) andesite. Surface weathered but interior is fresh. | ||
Reddish grey moderately vesicular (10% to 2 mm across) plagioclase (15%) andesite. Weakly weathered. | ||
Black aphyric glass, long fibres, highly vesicular, from core of orange weathered pumice boulders. |
