Pillow basalt. Essentially aphyric, but with scattered small (<1 mm across) olivine and plagioclase microphenocrysts. Black-red Mn-FeOx coating and old appearance. Glass crust.

Dark grey highly vesicular olivine basalt. 5% small olivine phenocrysts to 2 mm across in a fine grained matrix with 30% small vesicles. From a large pillow sector.
Tabular pieces ~5 cm thick apparently detached from a pillow interior. Black shiny highly vesicular (>20%, ~1 mm spherical) glass 2-3 cm across, which was removed and sampled.
A single large pillow with 10-15% vesicles up to 1 mm across.
Large pillows (>0.5 m in diameter). Vesicularity varies in bands, with the largest vesicles ~3 mm across. Vesicles vary from spherical to irregular.
Dark grey very hard vesicular lava. Traces of olivine phenocrysts to 2 mm across in a coarse grained matrix of plagioclase-pyroxene, yet ~30% small vesicles. Surface weathered brown, but interior is fresh.
