---|---|---|
Dominant lithology (= the big piece). Very glassy, but the glass is heavily altered to dark red palagonite(?). Sparsely phyric with tiny plagiocasle +/- olivine (few). | ||
Very sparsely phyric with plagioclase. Bery glassy and fresh. Moderately vesicular with small to large vesicles. A light green-grey layer beneath the glass. | ||
Highly phyric with olivine +/- plagioclase +/- clinopyroxene. Moderately vesicular with tiny to small vesicles. Two separate pieces. | ||
Highly phyric, but not as much as 03. Mostly olivine +/- plagioclase +/- clinopyroxene. Moderately vesicular with medium/sized vesicles. No glass, unlike 03. | ||
Sparsely to moderately phyric, mostly plagioclase plus some olivine. Highly vesicular with small vesicles. A thin layer of glass is present. | ||
Sparsely phyric with small plagioclase and rare larger olivine. Has a slightly glassy margin. Moderately vesicular with large stretched vesicles. | ||
Sparsely to moderately phyric, mostly plagioclase with sparse olivine. Moderately vesicular with stretched pulled apart vesicles. No glass is apparent. | ||
Moderately phyric, mostly plagioclase with rare olivine. Two generations of vesicles (1 sparse 5 mm; 2 many tiny). Some Fe-staining. No glass apparent. One big piece. | ||
Very similar to 03, including a glassy margin |
