Wildlife on Voyage (WoV) application - Search for deployments and/or events
Description
Records observations of species or null sightings. User can select from bird, cetacean or seal data entry forms which have targeted fields corresponding to the specific behaviors or attributes of the observation. There is 400+ species to choose from. Observations can be linked to the underway data stream to record concurrent sea surface temperature, wind speed, salinity etc. This abiotic data can also be matched to the observation post-voyage.
Purpose
To record wildlife sightings (birds, cetacean or seals) from either dedicated surveys using defined protocols or adhoc observations.
